Signing on a phone
Most people sign on the device the email arrived on, which is usually a phone. The signing view is built for that width first rather than shrunk to fit it, and a signature can be typed or drawn with a finger.
They can change their mind about how their signature looks right up until the packet completes.
When somebody cannot sign
They can decline
With a reason, which everybody on the packet sees. Nothing is left hanging.
They can pass it on
To the person who should have had it, and the fields move with it.
Their mail can bounce
You are told, for everybody on the packet, including people who were only copied in.
